There is a new game coming out, called FEAR. Does anyone know much about it? From what I see, it looks like an FPS game, but it might be single player only, who knows... I have only seen a clip on the website, so far.. so still looking into it, but from the gore so far - it reminds me some, of Doom 3.

Never heard of it before, but looking at the overview of the game...I'd agree, it sounds like a Doom ripoff.

I dunno. If you're gunna put that kind of time, effort, and money into a game like that...is it so hard to come up with a new idea, a cool twist? Make it freaking interesting! Like...The Sims! Isnt that unique and cool?

Alright I tried the demo, thats scary as hell.
Not quite as scary as Doom3, but Doom3 wasnt a demo when I played it.
FEAR seems more like an interactive movie than a game, definately very linear -- constantly pushed in a specific direction without options. Although I suppose nearly all games are this way, just some hide it better than others.

yeah, hows this - you walk into a dark room and turn on your flashlight...so you can see... and what happens? you hear some guys yelling flashlight...then they come around the corner to shoot you... thats a pretty cool realistic response. hehe
