I sucked it up and bought 2142 on line two days ago. I have the EALink thing and have yet to be able to connect to actually download the game... freakin weak.

It looks like they just upgraded from EA Downloader to EA Link.
Downloader worked perfectly.
Just noticed a patch for EA Link today.

Probably the download server is maxed out tracking ad's, no room left to get the game.

on that note...i have yet to see an ad, while in game...wonder why that is.

Ya know I'm just kidding...
But I'm curious - if you're not getting an Ad, is there some nice default banner in the place of where ad's go? Or do you just get a blank / untextured sign...?
